Chondrodysplasia

Bilateral and unilateral, Deafness in Havanese occurs with unknown
frequency. Unilateral deafness (hearing loss in only one ear) usually
goes unnoticed unless discovered through a BAER test (Brainstem
Auditory Evoked Response.)
Coat and Skin disorders
Short haired phenotype. Occasionally there will be a short haired
Havanese in a litter. These pups are genetic “throw backs.”
These puppies are in every other way like their long haired brothers

Hip and Elbow Dysplasia and Legg Calve-Perthes Disease
Generally speaking… a malformation
